The MLX gasket features an extra 'stopper' fold-over layer that delivers a torque-limiting surface, preventing the yielding of the combustion seal. A proprietary blend of high-temperature coatings combined with embossments provides a micro seal for fluids in the water passages. This coating and embossment allow for better combustion sealing and lower bore distortion. Cometic Gaskets offer this gasket in varying thicknesses, ranging from .028 inch to .073 inch.
