Unibody vehicles have many benefits; ease of manufacturing, cost, and lightweight construction. On the flip side, stiffness and rigidity are not their strong points. Under heavy lateral loads, these chassis are designed to be compliant, perfect for a comfortable ride on the road, not ideal for cornering on the track.

The new PRL Motorsports Rear and Mid-Rear Chassis Braces handle this perfectly. They bolt into key structural points of the chassis and lock them in place, preventing any movement, and increasing chassis rigidity. Our braces attach to the frame rails in front of and behind the rear wheel line, to stiffen the rear end of your Civic, and allow for precise handling and easier rotation in corners.

The brace bars are constructed of 304 Stainless Steel and TIG welded for ultimate strength and longevity. In addition, all the fittings and adapters used to mount the bars are also constructed from 304 Stainless. We included Grade 10.9 mounting hardware, so that even when exposed to harsh conditions, these Chassis Brace Kits will stand the test of time with excellent corrosion resistance.
