Crank case blow-by gets recirculated back to the intake to be ingested by the engine, but in doing so, it gets stuck in the intake tract, intake valves, and the intercooler. As it builds up over time, it causes extra wear and tear on your valve train potentially causing extensive damage to your engine. Blow-by/oil can also build up inside your intercooler which makes it less efficient due to less heat being transferred away from your engine, also leading to power loss and detonation.
The PERRIN Air Oil Separator prevents oil from entering the intake by capturing it from the crankcase vents. This reduces carbon build-up in the combustion chamber, intake valves, and in your intake tract, as well as improves intercooler efficiency and lowers the risk of performance-degrading detonation.
Included with this AOS is the Perrin Turbo Sump Pump Restrictor which fixes burning oil issues relating to turboback exhausts, or stage 2 and higher tunes. Also, the unique crankcase vent fitting allows for placement of the AOS in the perfect location to mantain the ideal temperature while staying out of the way of aftermarket TMIC's, FMIC's, and other engine bay components. Each Perrin AOS is designed to connect to each crankcase vent location separately without requiring any T-connections to allow for better venting and reduce the chance of oil being ingested during high G corners.
