King Engine Bearings pMaxKote Performance Rod Bearing Set with dowel hole for the Honda B18C1/B18C5 engines deliver the same durability and resilience as the standard pMaxKote XP-series bearings, except they offer a pre-drilled dowel pin hole for aluminum connecting rods. Known to expand more than a steel equivalent, allowing bearings to become looser than the manufacturer's recommendation, aluminum connecting rods require this dowel to secure the bearing in position.

The pMaxKote Performance Rod Bearing Set utilizes advanced metallurgical and geometric technologies, making them durable and capable of handling extreme performance loads up to 10,200 psi. These bearings feature pMax Black overlays, a unique tri-metal structure 24% harder than conventional tri-metal race bearings. Additionally, these bearings receive a factory-applied nano-composite coating, pMaxKote, acting as the fourth layer over the pMax Black, improving wear resistance and protecting the bearings during periods of marginal lubrication without changing the original wall thickness dimensions. These features combined create race bearings capable of withstanding the highest loads and RPMs generated by top competition engines.
